Meet Steven
Steven Aupperle is an independent woodworker, specializing in Custom Handmade Wooden Furniture, made using locally sourced reclaimed materials from old Homes, Barns, and Structures from the East End of Long Island.
Steven has lived and worked on Long Island for most of his life. His experience with woodwork began seven years ago at a business called “In The Attic Too”, based in Jamesport NY, where he worked under the tutelage of Dan McAllister. It was there in the old red barn where he practiced in both the old and new techniques required to create solid, long lasting furniture.
His understanding of the craft started with the restoration of late 1800’s to mid 1900’s pieces of furniture, and he quickly evolved from fabricobbler, to designer, and craftsman. Inspiration for his work is drawn from the beauty and elegance of nature, and the distinct passion gleamed from each Customer’s personal vision.
